PIANO LESSONS
Lessons are designed to meet the specific needs and goals of each student. This includes a balance of theory, sight-reading, ear training and repertoire appropriate to the student's level of proficiency. I mix traditional teaching methods with exposure to a variety of genres and styles including classical, pop, and jazz. I also incorporate a mixture of games and technology to help reinforce music theory
Lessons run from September through June with optional summer lessons and follow the WRDSB for all holidays. Weekly private lessons are offered in 30, 45, or 60-minute sessions, depending on the student’s age and skill level. Online and in person lessons are available.
RECITALS
In the Winter and Spring of each year I host a Music Recital. This provides an opportunity for students to build confidence on-stage and perform for a supportive audience of families and friends
RCM Examinations
As a teacher registered with the Royal Conservatory of Music, I am able to prepare students for all levels of examinations. This program consists of 10 progressives levels (grades) with each level requiring proficiency in performance, sight reading, scales and ear training.
If you complete grade 7 and grade 8 RCM exams you will receive a grade 11 and grade 12 high school credit
