With only a few final lessons left to complete for our year (before beginning summer lessons) I thought it would be fun to take a look back at our 2020-2021 year:
September:
-we revamped our online lesson space
-we welcomed many new students
-got into a groove of online lessons

October:
-students began in their first rhythm challenge this month
Week 1: Pass the Beat Relays
Week 2: Halloween Rhythms
-had fun during the week of Halloween by wearing our costumes to lessons!
November:
-continued with the rhythm challenge:
Week 3: Rhythm Cups
Week 4: Lap - Clap - Tap
-started to prepare their songs for the Christmas recital
December:
-completed our second virtual recital this month. I had lots of fun exploring more of the features of imovie and really loved being able to showcase each of you!
January:
-some students completed piano exams
-had fun with our lesson choice wheel

February:
-students worked hard this month on their Rhythm Chaos challenge - such a fun loud month!

March:
-had our march break and completed some fun challenges over the break
-celebrated World Piano Day
-officially completed 1 full year of online piano lessons
April and May:
-looking back these months flew by!
-we had April Break
-more students completed their books
-played more games
-students picked their recital songs and by the end of May had all sent me recordings of their performance
June:
-completed our Virtual Spring Recital
-enjoyed our recital goodie bag
-several students completed their exams virtually
-more students completed their books
-some students said goodbye until September, others said goodbye until July.
Thank you to each and every student and family for helping to make this crazy year so successful. Once again I am in awe of how amazing and supportive all of my studio families are. We managed a full year of online piano lessons, something I never would have thought possible! All students really rose to the challenge of virtual learning and I am so proud of all of your accomplishments.
Summer lessons are starting soon and will be offered online only but I am looking forward to September when we can be back in person.
