February Update

February saw a new challenge come to the studio called "Surprise Me" Day.  Students received a list of 7 exercise to choose from to complete over a 2 week period.  They didn't tell me which option they chose until the two weeks were up thus surprising me - and surprise me they did!   Students went above and beyond what I expected.   I learned about composers,  had students learn songs to play for me from memory and several students wrote their own song.   See below for some more examples of the students great work:

Coming up:

-March Break from March 16-20.  There will be no regular lessons this week but those students who have requested the break for makeup lessons will be contacted.
-A challenge will be sent home for those who will be home over the break.
-Plans are also beginning to have a practice challenge ready for next month with a very special prize.
