Each month this year I will be featuring an app that I highly recommend for students. Most of these are for an apple product (iPad, iPod, iPhone) however, some of them are also available for other tablets.
This months featured app is call NoteWorks
Pros: This is a great app for students who need review of the stuff. It starts out with just treble clef notes Middle C-G, then goes to the bass clef notes, F-Middle C and then expands the notes from there. It moves either slow, medium or fast and you can choose to answer the notes with the names or by choosing the correct note on the piano. I really prefer to answer them using the note names.
The best part about this game is that you can enter your name and it saves all your progress, so you don't have to start over from the beginning each time.
The best part for the student is that the characters eat the notes and the sound effects.
Cons: It can be a bit fast, even when set on the slowest setting, for some students. However, once they get used to the speed it works out great
